Purpose of Position:
Assist the Controller in all aspects of Count Room operations. Oversee the daily operations of the Count Room.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Safeguard all Count-Room-managed assets.
• Assist Controller to establish and maintain departmental priorities relating to dropping and counting gaming revenue.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of dropped and counted gaming revenue.
• Hold departmental meetings, deliver necessary communication and oversee training sessions, as required.
• Maintain tracking of Count Room Team Members’ attendance, disciplinary actions, attrition rates, and training.
• Ensure Count Room supply inventory is maintained at efficient levels and recommend equipment and personnel requirements to Controller.
• Ensure timely pass-down of current and pertinent information to Count Room Team Members.
• Ensure timely reporting, documentation of daily activities, and irregular events to Controller.
• Work closely with department heads to ensure proper controls and maintain good relations.
• Act as a role model and maintain a professional relationship with Team Members under your supervision by focusing on the demonstration of positive action, behavior, attendance, work ethic and guest service.
• Responsible for the staffing, training and scheduling of Team Members.
• Responsible for preparing evaluations and issuing disciplinary actions when required.
• Adhere to and ensures compliance with Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards, Casino Wide and Departmental policies, procedures and processes.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required, unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.
• Four (4) years of cash-handling/accounting and guest service experience is required.
• Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.
Count Room Hours: 3AM-11AM
