Description

Purpose of Position:       

Promote a safe work environment for Casino Team Members. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.  Control and reduce the frequency and severity of potential loss activity.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure all applicable regulatory compliance of risk management related programs, policies and procedures.

• Manage the Workers Compensation, Property Insurance policies, records and any claims that may arise.

• Develop, coordinate, and audit health and safety programs to include processes, policies and procedures.

• Maintain the Health and Safety records as necessary to meet the Gaming Facility License, all applicable regulatory requirements and adequately protect the environment, public health, and safety.

• Ensure provisions for adequate emergency, fire, medical and related relief and disaster services for guests and employees of the casino are met. Monitor and track with routine facility inspections

• Maintain current master file of Safety Data Sheets in accordance to the Hazard Communication Program.

• Accumulate, review and maintain all documents on reported guest injuries or incidents.

• Develop programs to effectively communicate promote safety culture to all levels of Team Members.

• Responsible for the Casino Drug Free Workplace Program.

• Ensure compliance with Casino-wide, Risk Management and Human Resources policies and procedures.

• Responsible for staffing, training and scheduling of Health and Safety Specialist. Supervise and delegate to the role as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field is required, unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.

• Four (4) years of experience in Risk Management with experience in property/casualty insurance, workers compensation, emergency response, occupational safety, regulatory agencies and administration.

• Three (3) years of supervisor or management experience required. Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS experience required.

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills are required.
