Manage human resources function through program development, implementation and administration to support Casino goals and objectives. Strategic management of human resource functions including employee relations, benefits, internal communication, recruitment, training and development, safety, and risk.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategically develop, implement and continuously improve Human Resource, Risk & Safety programs and procedures to ensure internal control and compliance with Federal employment laws and all other applicable regulations.
  • Support Casino leadership by providing human resources advice, counsel, and solutions.
  • Develop annual department budget including capital expenditures and analysis of staffing needs. Ensure budget accountability throughout the year.
  • Manage, train and lead Human Resource staff to ensure development and growth.
  • Develop exempt and non-exempt salary structure to promote equitable compensation.
  • Continuously improve Human Resource & Risk related policies, procedures and systems.
  • Develop and monitor cost-effective Team Member programs to ensure a responsible employment environment and competitiveness within the local labor market.
  • Propose employee relations programs to enhance recruitment and retention.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for Risk and Safety related programs.
  • Responsible for the staffing, training, evaluating and scheduling of Team Members; with authority to hire, suspend and terminate.
  • Promote an environment and culture that exemplifies respect, prohibits behaviors of discrimination and harassment.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to Senior Management, Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (Master’s degree preferred), unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.
  • Requires ten (10) years of progressive experience in strategic Human Resources Management. Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS system experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills are required.
