Responsibilities:
- Administer entire network infrastructure and its associated software.
- Develop long range development plans in accordance with stated business strategy.
- Analyze and resolve telecommunications and network connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and support user needs where required.
- Manage and administrate the network security infrastructure.
- Design and oversee infrastructure projects with a goal to improving or expanding the current infrastructure.
- Manage and assist the network engineers with the installation planning and maintenance of network cabling, including MDF and IDF closets.
- Generate network usage and inventory reports as required.
- Conduct testing and development disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and backup systems.
- Occasional inspection of cables and wiring in floors and ceilings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required, unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.
- Requires three (3) years of experience in a Network Engineer role preferred, or combination of progressive experience and education will be considered.
- Computer program certificate preferred; or two (2) to four (4) years information technology related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.
