Position Summary:

Under general direction from the Manager of Player Development, responsible for meeting, greeting, and building relationships with players beneficial to promoting loyalty, repeat visits, and increased revenue for the casino. Will oversee, solicit, and identify new gaming customers for the Players Club program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interact, build and maintain positive relationships with casino guests with special emphasis on the VIP segment and high denomination zones.
  • Evaluate and issue guest complimentary services in accordance with the established guidelines for level of play.
  • Respond to special requests of guests, as well as guest complaints and inquiries in a calm, prompt, courteous manner.
  • Ensure guests are aware of promotions, special events and supports execution through attendance and follow-up.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility on the Casino floor.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and be able to explain all games offered at Table Mountain Casino including table games, slot and video reel machines.
  • Manage relationship marketing and player development strategies using clearly defined objectives, tactics, and on-going performance assessments to create guest loyalty (increase number of visits) and guest spend (increase revenue).
  • Maintain relationships and market targeted guests through personal contact in order to generate incremental revenue.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and be able to explain all games offered at Table Mountain Casino including table games, slot and video reel machines.
  • Telemarkets known VIP Players for increased visitation to the property.
  • Assists in the coordination and execution of VIP Events both on property and off property.
  • Recruits and enrolls premium patrons into the Player’s Club program in a timely and accurate manner; enters customer data according to established policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Encourages premium guests to participate in the casino’s special event activities.
  • Provides superior guest service and develops repeat players through personal interaction and relationship marketing.
  • Evaluates members’ play and issues comps based on established policies and procedures.
  • Keeps leadership and other departments informed of status of host activities by attending meetings and submitting reports.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 

 

 

Direct Reports:  None.

Access to Sensitive Areas: Access to guest personal information in Patron Management.  

Signatory Authority: Comp forms for guests and other Club redemptions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required unless waived by Human Resources Management.  One (1) year of Casino Host or Guest Service experience required.  Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Asian language a plus.  Excellent interpersonal, guest service, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.   Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Player’s Club program.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting, math, and record keeping practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
  • Skill in supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work all hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to proactively contact premium players through the telephone, e-mails and mail.
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
  • Ability to make solid decisions and exercise independent judgment.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods, walk and stand; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communications skills.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. 

 

Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.  Occasional work is performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a moderate noise level. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common. Travel may be required.
