Purpose of Position:

Responsible for supporting and assisting with marketing efforts for all Casino promotions, events and initiatives as directed by the Director of Marketing. Responsible for creating an exciting and engaging experience for guests.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field is required, unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.
  • Three (3) years’ experience of promotion/special event or marketing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, guest service and communication skills are required.
  • Must be an organized, flexible, proactive and self-motivated team-player.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing communication projects including promotions, special events, public relations and advertising
  • Actively participates in creative meetings for new promotion and event ideas and concepts.
  • Assist in the organization of proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials.
  • Encourages attendance and participation by bringing excitement, activity and celebration to the promotion or special event.
  • Displays excellent customer service skills and interacts with guests on a daily basis.
  • Maintain tracking of monthly revenue and expenses, as well as job estimates and billing.
  •  Assist with the completion of required paperwork and reporting for promotions and special events.
  • Works with other departments to coordinate the flow of winner pictures and photo releases.
  • Organize and successfully implement off-property community events.
  • Assists with the set-up, preparation and take down of promotions and special events.
  • Attend daily briefings and serve as the Marketing Department representative to communicate details of promotions, events and entertainment to all departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the work environment is occasionally noisy and employee will work indoors and outdoors (exposed to weather conditions). Additionally, the employee will be exposed to cigarette smoke.
