Position Summary:
Under general direction from the Count Room Manager, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely collection, counting, and reconciliation of cash from gaming machines, table games, and other casino operations. Ensure maintenance of accurate records and adhere to established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Remove and collect drop boxes from slot machines.
- Count and record revenues from Table Games, Slot Machines, Jackpot Terminals (JPTs) and Voucher Redemption Terminals (VRTs)
- Prepares the casino for drop by placing empty cash boxes at each designated location.
- Removes cash boxes from designated machines; transports funds and tickets to the count room according to established policies and procedures.
- Operates, troubleshoots and maintains currency sorting machines.
- Counts and straps currency, coins and tickets; prepares all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Verifies funds reconcile to totals and deliver funds to cage cashier.
- Performs drop and count procedures in accordance with gaming and company regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies and procedures, in all areas, at all times.
- Safeguards company assets by keeping track of keys and security access cards.
- Works closely with Revenue Audit to resolve discrepancies.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Assists patrons with general information upon request.
- Safeguard all Count-Room-managed assets.
- Remove stacker boxes from slot machines and transport to the Count Room.
- Run currency counter to document and transfer deposits of each Table Game, and slot machine into online computer system. Run coin counters and wrappers and transfer deposit data for each slot machine into online computer system.
- Prepare and load from each Table Game drop box, and slot machine, money into currency and coin counters for processing.
- Strap currency using established strapping procedures. Roll and bag large volumes of coin using established coin procedures.
- Run reports necessary to audit and balance daily paperwork.
- Batch and upload drop in online computer system.
- Work with Revenue Audit to make necessary corrections to drop.
- Document and record adjustments made to correct errors in processing.
- Perform daily maintenance of coin and currency counting machines.
- Distribute reports to appropriate departments.
- Adhere to the Tribal Minimum Internal Controls Standards, Casino Wide and Departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.

Access to Sensitive Areas: Accounting, Count Room and slot machines.
Signatory Authority: Count Room forms.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required unless waived by Human Resources Management. Previous cash handling as a bank teller or cashier experience preferred. Must be 21 or older. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic accounting, math, and record keeping practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of casino software programs and equipment related to cage operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to complete and pass Title 31 training and assessment.
- Ability to operate a calculator, adding machine, and currency counting and sorting machines.
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
- Ability to make solid decisions and exercise independent judgment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods, walk and stand; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communications skills. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Occasional work is performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a moderate noise level. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
**Shift Hours: 3:00 AM - 11:00 AM**
